There is a deep concern and an unending revelation found in the Book of Genesis the third Chapter (chapter 3) as it relates to Adam’s sin in the Garden of God in Eden where God’s perfect plan is revealed through the creation of Adam and Eve, a mystery that almost no one could have ever imagined would be key of main events that have preceded and occured throughout history of countless generations since the day which gave birth to the first group of human civilization, thousands and thousands of years, since the age men’s heart started to turn away from the true living God and to seek after pride and greatness, generations after generations, from war after war, men’s one desire was to look into the depth of the unknown as a lost soul in the darkest places where he could find answers related his origins.
Created in the image of God, their Savior, they failed to acknowlege goodness and mercies to them He showed. They became rebellious children; wickdenesss and pride took over their heart, sons of Adam, sin corrupted. Evil doers they have become and no longer had they implored the Lord’s favor. Filled with cruelty, murder and all kind of unrighousness had stained every man’s soul. God, they forsought had become their enemy.
However, we are reminded of a very long dated old prophecy that would surely come to pass and would lead up to the coming of the Anointed One. One that had to suffer and die for the entire human race.
Before we dive into this mystery of what the Bible says in the book of Genesis and what was the tree of knowledge of good and evil about?
“The Lord God planted a garden in Eden, in the east, and there he placed the man he had formed. The Lord God caused to grow out of the ground every tree pleasing in appearance and good for food, including the tree of life in the middle of the garden, as well as the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.” Genesis 2:8-9 CSB
God had a plan as we notice the Scripture says “The Lord God caused to grow out of the ground every tree pleasing in appearance and good for food, including the tree of life in the middle of the garden, as well as the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.”
The Two Unusual Trees Of The Garden
In the middle of the Garden were two trees, this describes God’s perfect plan of creation which holds the meaning of life, however, never explains what the Lord God was intended to do before man ever sinned. Therefore, everything was made indeed, for a purpose. Considering the meaning of these two trees, we will be shedding light upon Adam’s deceiving choice of rejecting God to a sinful life.
Symbolical Not In Plain Litteral Approach
That was Adam’s deliberate choice to reject God, the Creator. Deliberate choice I say because God gave that order to man Adam and his wife was next to him when God spoke to them. This cannot be just a litteral act that later would have some spiritual and natural drawbacks, the entire creation was judged and had to suffer the consequences of Adam’s desobedience. Just as we read in the Scripture that the woman was inticed by the snake, sinned first and then Adam fell.
Two Unusual Trees, Their Meaning
It’s very hard to get the meaning of these two trees, however, in the common sense of anyone saying, “life and death” is man’s unquestionable fate.
